All content (print or lecture / verbal) of all classes / programs is copyright to the presenter and may not be used for generating revenue / building viewers online or in any other format without the owner’s explicit permission in writing (short video clips of 5 minutes or less or photographs are allowed).

Approximately four weeks before the event, we publish the schedule and a complete list of our program offerings. Check the Schedule & Classes web page for the most up-to-date information.

You may view the general class schedule prior to your arrival using the event app or on this website approximately 4 weeks prior to the event. KIDS FAQ

Yes! We encourage families to attend Outdoor Adventure X. Some of our workshops, demos, and programs are run by kids for kids and families interested in adventuring outdoors. We always look for new classes to add, taught by kids, so if your child has any overland/outdoor experience and is interested in sharing with their knowledge other children, please contact us for more information on our instructor program.

  • All children require a Youth Pass (Ages 3-12 years old).
  • Children 2 and younger are free.
  • All teenagers (Ages 15 and Up) require an Adult Pass and will be allowed to attend any workshops and clinics alone. We kindly request for all teenage children to display professional behavior when attending experienced adult classes with or without their parents, as a way of showing respect for each instructor’s time and effort placed into their class instruction.
  • Age restrictions will be dependent on the clinic, but ALL YOUTH PASS ATTENDEES 14 AND UNDER MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A GUARDIAN AT ALL TIMES. Weber State has outlined the following age restrictions for some of the on water and on mountain activities:
  • Adaptive climbing – all ages
  • Trad climbing – 14+
  • Mountain biking 14+
  • Paddle boarding demo 14+
  • Kayak demo – 10+
  • Mt Ogden hike – 10+
  • Leave No Trace Walk – all ages
  • Outdoor Adventure X is a family friendly event that encourages the attendance of children and adults within the outdoor community.
  • Participation at the Family Adventure Zone is for kids age 10 and older. Parents MUST remain with their children for the duration of all children classes.
  • The Family Adventure Zone will include educational activities, and putt putt golf.

PETS FAQ

  • Yes! We try to be pet-friendly, however, we have some rules:

    • Dogs must be leashed, quiet, and cleaned-up-after at all times, this includes within the campgrounds.
    • NO “zip” leashes (the retractable kind); this is so dogs do not lunge unexpectedly at kids or other dogs.
    • A shock collar only does NOT suffice in replacement of a leash. A leash is required in case of emergency and the dog must be restrained.
    • Aggressive dogs will be banned, this includes fighting other dogs, barking, or showing antisocial behavior.
    • Do NOT leave any pet (or child!) in a vehicle at any time—it will be hotter than you think, and it is fatal.

Yes. As long as they are leashed and not disruptive to teachers or other attendees, they can go with you to any workshops or clinics. Please be mindful of those around you and remove your dog from the classroom setting if displaying any uneasy, loud behavior.

When heading to Snowbasin Village from Lakeside Village, you may bring your dog on the shuttle, as long as it is on a leash and presenting acceptable social behavior.

GENERAL FAQ

YES!  Gondola rides are included with your OAX ticket or camping pass throughout event weekend.   The Gondola will be open to OAX attendees only June 17-19, 2023 as part of OAX programming.

Include your Name, Order Number (if you have already purchased tickets), Contact Information and days of the show that accommodations are needed. We would be happy to further assist you with these requests.

*Due to the relatively rural locations of our events, this advance notice of accommodations enables us to make the most effective provisions possible.

If in need of ADA parking/camping accommodations, please mark the box upon registering for the event, so we may designate a space in a more accessible location for your needs.

Yes! We will provide potable water for consumption use only, so please bring your favorite water bottle to fill! There will be no trailer filling stations. Please arrive with your tanks filled and ready for your weekend stay.

If you participate in any altercations, shouting, arguments, and other disruptive behavior, including disrupting a class by being a know-it-all or heckling another attendee (even if they are related to you) as well as STAFF members, then we will ask you to leave.

Safety is our primary concern, at all times. Always drive slowly. Watch for children. Be cautious of alcohol intake (especially at the high elevations) and never drink + drive.

Although we are an event that promotes the use of vehicles, bikes, and motorcycles for adventuring, we ask that there is no driving or riding while on the venue grounds, and while going to and from the classrooms. Mountain bikes/E-Bikes are a great alternative for getting around to and from the campgrounds only, but not within the exhibitor area nor basecamp. Please walk bikes/E-bikes through this area only. Please ABSOLUTELY NO ATVs, quads, and side-by-sides except for those with appropriate handicap placards and solely used for assisting low-mobility attendees with accessing campsites.
