Outdoor Adventure X (OAX) is Utah’s premier mountain festival for people who love active outdoor recreation – coming to Snowbasin Resort June 17-18. A curated lifestyle gathering of campers, hikers, runners, cyclists, climbers and paddlesports lovers, the event brings these communities together for a weekend of family fun, inspiration, product demos, gear vendors, live music, outdoor wellness education and skills clinics.
Just East of Ogden, Utah on the back end of the Wasatch Mountain range, Snowbasin’s ski runs turn into wildflower-lined trails come June. Join us at Snowbasin Village for mountain bike, e-bike, running, and climbing clinics on-mountain. Or jump in on one of several guided hikes winding through scenic aspen groves and glades of pine en route to Mt. Ogden. Snowbasin gondola rides and the mini-golf course and 26 miles of trails on Snowbasin are included in your event ticket.
Learn to kayak or paddle board at Lakeside Village on the scenic Pineview Reservoir. Lakeside Village will also host primitive camping at the Anderson Cove Campgrounds.

Camping on Snowbasin Or Lakeside
Bring the family and camp with us! Event activities will go into the evening for OAX campers at the Volkswagen Base Camp Bar + Food Court including live bands and the Saturday night raffle benefiting local non-profits. Campers get their first drink free at nightly Happy Hour events.
Camp on-mountain at Snowbasin Resort in a primitive, pop-up campground staged in grassy fields. On-mountain campsites are closest to the main event area.
Lakeside Village campsites are available at Anderson Cove Campgrounds adjacent to Pineview Lake. Lakeside campers access Snowbasin Village via a free shuttle service – shuttle route is approximately 12 minutes to the main event site.

All camping packages provide a weekend pass for one adult camper to attend OAX. Camp showers are available at both on-mountain and lakeside campgrounds courtesy of Geyser Shower Solutions! Both campgrounds also offer primitive bathroom amenities.
Workshops, Clinics, Roundtable Discussions + Gear Demos
At Outdoor Adventure X, we believe that the knowledge you take into the outdoors is as important as the equipment you bring along. We’ve lined up presentations and demos for you featuring inspiring adventurers and knowledgeable experts in a variety of fields. Plus, learn outdoor ethics and the tenets of responsible outdoor adventuring as part of inspirational roundtable discussions and more.
Our programming focuses on family-friendly, hands-on, how-to workshops and classes. In partnership with the experts at Weber State University’s Outdoor Program, we’re proud to offer mountain biking, climbing and paddlesports clinics taught by local pros and guided hikes on the 26+ miles of trails at Snowbasin Resort.

Family Programming
Whether you’re camping for the weekend or joining us for just the day, we pack the event schedule with activities tailored to adventurous kids and their parents. Kids of all ages can learn about nature journaling, wilderness first aid, and leave no trace principles.
Plus, enjoy guided hikes to Mt Ogden, climb the rock wall, ride the Needles Gondola and play Snowbasin’s Wildflower mini-golf course – all included with your OAX event ticket.

Live Music, Craft Beer Garden + Happy Hours
Come chill in the mountains with your friends, listen to live music and enjoy craft brews under the sun. The Snowbasin Village stage at OAX will be in full swing with a fantastic lineup of music to keep your toes tapping all weekend long – from psychadelic funk to bluegrass, country, and soulful jazz and pop. Pull up a picnic table, grab a bite to eat, and don’t miss these great musicians!
The Volkswagen Base Camp Food Court + Bar will host a craft beer garden, local artisan food trucks and mountain house meals from Earl’s Lodge. Join us for Happy Hour from 5 – 7pm each night. Campers get their first drink free courtesy of Happy Hour sponsor, WEARFIRST!

At OAX, you can check out hundreds of your favorite camping and outdoor gear brands – demoing and selling products right here at the show. Touch and feel new apparel and eyewear products, talk to brand reps about their latest e-bikes, camping accessories, paddle boards and more. Plus, demo the latest products from some of your favorite brands.

Doing Good + Giving Back
When we recreate in outdoor spaces, we inevitably leave an impact on the land. OAX education will be centered on Leave No Trace principles teaching OAX attendees sustainability skills and tactics to leave the land better than we found it.
OAX has also partnered with Trails Foundation of Northern Utah and the Weber Sustainability Fund to address local outdoor activity impact to the region. OAX will host a charity raffle on Saturday from the Volkswagen Base Camp Food Court & Bar area benefiting these two stellar organizations making a positive impact on the trails and waterways of Northern Utah. Outdoor Adventure X takes place June 17-18, 2023 at Snowbasin Resort in Huntsville, Utah. OAX hosts climbing, hiking and mountain bike clinics on-mountain at Snowbasin Village. Water and paddle sports workshops, clinics and demos will take place at Pineview Reservoir, a part of Lakeside Village at OAX.
