The Get Outside Tour will make a stop at Outdoor Adventure X June 17-18 at Snowbasin in Huntsville, Utah with gear giveaways, skills clinics, guided adventures, iconic speakers, and more.  Learn outdoor essentials and take a guided hike with the experts from Outside. Don’t forget to bring your adventure pup!

Lunch + Learn: Get Outside Essentials

Enjoy lunch Saturday, June 17th from Noon – 1pm in the Volkswagen Base Camp Food Court & Bar as we chat through the thought process behind the gear and skills combinations proven to be “essential” to achieving success when spending extended periods of time in the great outdoors.  Whether it’s overnight backpacking, extended day hikes, or remote drives off the beaten path, planning and preparing with essential gear and skills in mind will add safety, comforts and conveniences that are proven to enhance your next outdoor adventure! 

Get Outside Essentials Guided Hike

Join the Get Outside Team Saturday & Sunday at 2pm and bring your pup along for a guided hike! This is a great opportunity to demo the Outside ’11 Essential Systems of Gear,’ test out the latest Gregory packs, and learn how to bring you pup along on all of your trail-bound adventures! Meet at the Get Outside Tour booth.

Randy Propster has served as a proud ambassador for Backpacker Magazine and Outside Inc. for over 17 years. He has traveled with the Get Out More and Get Outside Tour all across the United States year after year sharing his love for the outdoors with thousands of active and aspiring outdoor enthusiasts. Whether you’re planning for an epic adventure or simply want to get inspired to spend more time outdoors, Randy has the information and inspiration you need to Get Outside!

Alina “Abstract” Drufovka is a Colombian-American thru hiker, backpacking guide and artist. After over 5,000 miles of life spent on the Appalachian Trail, Pacific Crest Trail and Israel National Trail, Alina now transforms all the nostalgia and beauty from her treks into groovy designs! She started her business, Abstract Hikes, during the pandemic and has been painting portals back to the trail ever since! During this time she also had the chance to do illustration and design work for many companies in the outdoor industry such as Outside, REI, NOLS, American Hiking Society, Kula Cloth and many others. Alina is excited to hit the road again and inspire more folks to get outdoors! 

Lyle Frenkel is a nature lover and sustainability advocate with a degree in Building and Construction Technology. Originally hailing from New England, Lyle has been enjoying the outdoors his entire life. His outdoor adventures have led him all over the world from the Negev desert of Israel to guiding treks in Bolivia’s Maragua crater. As a former Appalachian Trail and Pacific Crest Trail thru hiker, Lyle is enthusiastic about spreading his knowledge and passion for hiking and building a more inclusive outdoor community!

Explore Additional Outdoor Clinics + Education At OAX

Outdoor Adventure X is a mountain gear festival for the outdoor adventurer June 17-18, 2023 at Snowbasin Resort in Huntsville, Utah. OAX hosts climbing, hiking and mountain bike clinics on-mountain at Snowbasin Village. Water and paddle sports workshops, clinics and demos will take place at Pineview Reservoir, a part of Lakeside Village at OAX.  Plus camping, hundreds of gear vendors, an adventure van showcase, product demos, workshops + clinics, a craft beer garden, food trucks, live music, and fireside chats with friends.

An OAX ticket or camping pass includes access to all demos, clinics, the Snowbasin gondola, and a full schedule of classroom-style education and roundtable discussions.
